Update 24th September 2021

Working hard on a Robert Mitchum and Elvis story with the media.  Mitchum's boys and daughter Petrine are helping and encouraging me.

Priscilla Presley owned statue of Elvis at 13 now in my Elvis museum. Story covered in the Fingal Independent newspaper. and Dublin Gazette.

Busy with my, Elvis Presley Story Museum, Swords, Ireland.  Getting lots of media attention. Seeking a public space in Dublin as a tourist attraction.

PICTURE. The sculptor Michiel Van der Sommen (RIGHT) with yours truly and a blow up photo of his fine statue of "Elvis at 13". The bronze statue stands close to Elvis's birthplace in Tupelo Mississippi. Fingal Independent newspaper photo.

My interests are Beethoven, Classical and Popular Music, Art, Science, Philosophy, Literature, History, travel etc. #twitter #Facebook

Presently for very good reasons I am devoting quite a lot of time to Elvis. Neglecting my painting and general reading in the process. Nevertheless I'm having fun......especially promoting Elvis related events in the USA.

The History or Story Behind My Site

1957 The shock wave Elvis had sent around the world in 1956 eventually reached yours truly's ears via a jukebox! Elvis's voice just transfixed me on the spot. What kind of voice was this!!! What a name!

I was fifteen at the time and totally unaware of anything  about the singer except this Elvis Presley was causing quite a commotion in the music world.

Well that was the beginning of a story that is quite remarkable now we are here in 2021.

Colgan is an old Irish name and my father John Colgan (RIP) once a soldier in the Irish Army was born in Gaybrook Westmeath. He was a Quarter Master Sergeant. WhenI was a young boy I often polished the brass buttons and badges on his uniform.

My mother was born in the Ranch near Clondalkin village County Dublin.
